We are seeking an IT Engineer who would have full responsibility of the IT area for the Canadian entity, as well as the U.S. entity. You will be working at our corporate headquarters in Mountlake Terrace and be required for limited travel to Vancouver, B.C. The IT Engineer will be a key member of the Technology and Engineering department wearing multiple hats in this start-up environment. This position is fluid and will evolve as the company grows.

Job responsibilities
• Email system maintenance & support, including list management & outlook troubleshooting
• Desk side computer support & troubleshooting, including setup and software installation for 24 people in two offices
• Printer installations, maintenance & support, including toner rotations
• VOIP Phone system maintenance, install, support & training, including phone tree management & phone and video conference support (Shoretel system)
• Account/login maintenance & support
• Handling hardware & software requests
• Help manage collocation server rack in Seattle, WA
• Manage SSL certificates, DNS, IP management & assistance with network outages
• Servers & backup management, including:
o tape backup rotation
o off-site storage for compliance issues
o crash recovery plans
• Other miscellaneous support tasks:
- software license compliance
- WebEx/GoToMeeting training & support
- Camtasia support
- usability lab support (hardware & software)
- Ability to write windows login scripts
- experience building, deploying and maintaining workstations on the Microsoft Windows platform
• System monitoring, including:
- research & select site monitoring tool (Gomez)
- load monitors
- 24x 7 pager/phone support for critical systems
- Site growth planning

• Understanding of Internet security a plus
• We have offices in North Vancouver and Mountlake Terrace with a colo in Seattle. The ability to travel between these locations is required. The ability to cross the Canadian border is required for trips to North Vancouver, B.C. once or twice a month.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency
• Significant industry experience may be substituted for college graduate with a major in Information Science, Software Engineering or a related business degree
